Three
Secrets
Secrets
for us: Our secret power is prayer,
our secret love is the poor and our
secret mission is the healing of
all in everything that we do in the
catechetical ministry, in our various
regions, in our various centers.
Pray, my dear sisters and brothers,
that we may keep as the priority
of our hearts: the primacy of prayer,
the preference to the poor and the
mission of healing because these
are the priorities, these are the
preferences of the Lord Jesus himself.
Bp.
Soc invites
us to enter into silence and in
the secrecy of our hearts
find these three secrets ready for
living out in our lives. Click

Successful
Evangelization is Justice
If
we are to consider the moral disposition
of a given society as a determinant
of the kind of evangelization it
receives, we have to admit with
humility and regret that in the
Philippines, it seems that the
Church has not been very successful
in the work of evangelization.
One of the first indications of
a successful evangelization is
justice. When the Lord entered
the house of Zacheus, the latter
exclaimed in freedom, "I
give half my belongings, Lord,
to the poor. If I have defrauded
anyone in the least, I pay him
back fourfold."
The
above statements are part of the
Keynote Address delivered by Rev.
Fr. Ernesto Arceo, OP during the
Opening Ceremony
of the National Catechetical Convention
held on January 10-12, 2007.
