The Catholic Educational
Association of the Philippines (CEAP) is

Through its Planning and Research Unit,
CEAP conducted a survey to determine the
prevailing condition of Catholic schools
and to generate an overall picture of the
CEAP membership. From the information gathered,
CEAP is able to provide national and regional
profiles of member institutions in terms
of enrollment size, tuition, and other school
fees. Likewise, the study also presents
pertinent human resource data "'eluding
employment status, educational qualifications,
salary rates, and professional status of

II. METHODOLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS AND LIMITATIONS
The data were drawn from a survey that started in December
2002. As of that date, there were only 1,184 CEAP member
schools. The survey delved into variables like employment
status, educational qualifications, salary rates, and
professional status of school personnel, as well as
enrollment, tuition and other school fees.
As of July 2003, the number of respondent schools,
which became the basis for the results of this study,
was 819 or 69% out of the targeted 1,184. (See Table
